Jared's dramatic change to look like Chapman.

Already in December you could see he looked rounder.


These pictures are a few days old. I'm stunned and fascinated by how changed he looks.

*Smiles* I'm as ambivalent about it as I was with Requiem for a dream. Same fascination, but not really domfortable about seeing him like that.

Actually his face has the roundness of steriods... I took them years ago and they give you that moonfaced look but I'd say some of that face bit is makeup and prosthetics maybe... but then knowing how jared does things... who knows?

So many things are possible makeup wise today, so I also thought it could be that when I looked at the pictures at first - not that it really matters. The look strived for is quite convincing.

The white jacket at the concert cioncelas a lot, and actually looks like that - to conceal. heh I don't know. It's fun to speculate.

But I have no doubt that whatever, he'll return to his work out as soon as shootings are done. And maybe lay off his beloved chocolate...

Gods is that what it is? I hope that most of it is. When you look at his legs they look normal size. So you could be right. The concert photo is from mid December so his face would have developed faster than an allergic reaction to a bee sting. padding? Nice suggestion.

Yeah. Even in Dec his face started looking puffy - not like normal weight gain. I think hes wearing some padding in the abdominal area and loose clothing. I think he gained some weight but not that much.

The cream puff look is .... unattractive. But cream puffs are still quite edible

yeah, Petar, I also thought his face looked puffy and I had no idea what Mark Chapman looked like, so I didn't even put the connection to preparing for the part. Sure didn't hear much from the Leto front this last month, so he's been busy 'preparing' out of public light.

Face is.. well yes. not attrractive, but then his bald head was a shocker too, but we got the hang of it - well I did anyways *smiles*.

I think Alex might be right about the steroids. Combined with a "fat suit" and bulky clothing, he'd get that look pretty easily. I wish he'd quit playing around with stuff like this though. Can't be healthy in the long run.
